What’s up 👋

We’ve got some new stuff inbound! Now, you can tweak your notifications in Settings for more personalized updates on places, dates and cool new features. We’ve also spruced up details for posts and profiles when they’re viewed on the web.

Last week, we also mentioned that we’ll be starting to share weekly date ideas — read on to see the first suggestions from both the Whatever team and the community! 

Search and like any place 📍

First stop on our tour of what’s new: check out the new Places tab. Use the Places tab to discover new places loved by other Whatever users, search for nearby places, and even save them for later.

Maybe you and your partner caught wind of this awesome spot and you’re thinking, "Yep, we gotta have a date night there in the future!" Or perhaps you stumbled upon a super-romantic restaurant on Infatuation and you’re eager to bookmark the hidden gem for a larger day plan! Whatever it is, you can like and save it the Places tab.

We’ve decided to say goodbye to the Create tab. You can use the "+" icon, located on the top-right corner of the Explore and Dates tabs, to create new posts and plan dates.

• Eat at Angie’s Pizza: Craving wood fired thin crust pizza? This rec comes from Connie and she claims Angie’s is “v cute and cozy”. 🌹

• Go on a mini-hike at Billy Goat Hill: Take your partner to Noe Valley and get a good view of the city.

• Kick back at Alchemist Bar & Lounge: Steampunk speakeasy vibes. Enough said. 🍹

• Sip and jam at Yokai: There’s really nothing like hearing a hi-fi on an epic sound system, while sipping Japanese whisky with your soul tie. 🎶
